Robin Macdonald lived in Essex most of his adult life working as a GP in Maldon until retirement in 2002. He paints mainly in watercolour in a fast and loose style and enjoys capturing the odd corners and backwaters of East Anglia rather than the better known landmarks.
He was a member of the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists but regrettably had to resign due to heavy work commitments.
He was the first tutor to Norfolk Watercolour and has made a video " Painting in the Norfolk Broads ".
Robin has exhibited throughout East Anglia also in France and the Hong Kong Hilton.
He now lives near Clare in Suffolk and is chairman of the Suffolk Art Society.
